Blogging tips

Blogging is simple and fun, even for beginners. Anyone can get started, whether you want to build an online business or share your thoughts with the world. However, knowing what blogging platform best suits your needs before you begin writing is helpful. Each blogging platform has its own style and design, so this list of free blogging platforms for bloggers starting out will give you a head start on choosing the right tool for your needs.

If you’re a blogger just starting, choosing the best blogging platform for your needs can be overwhelming. When I started blogging, I also needed help finding the most suitable platform in terms of free vs paid, security and user-friendliness.

To save you from trawling through the internet, I’ve compiled a list of 5 great blogging platforms for beginners.

WordPress

WordPress is one of the most popular free blogging platforms available. Its user-friendly interface makes it easy for beginners to create a website and customise it to their needs. WordPress offers a variety of themes, plugins, and widgets to help create a professional-looking website. With WordPress, users can customise their website, add pages, upload media, and post content.

Blogger

Blogger is Google’s free blogging platform and one of the most popular free blogging sites. It is ideal for those who want to quickly create a website or blog and don’t need anything too complicated. Blogger comes with various free themes and allows users to customise their site easily. It is also integrated with Google’s other services, such as AdSense and Google Analytics, making it easy to monetise the website.

Wix

Wix is another popular free blogging platform. It is great for those who want to create a website with no prior experience easily. Wix offers a free version with limited features and a variety of themes to choose from. It also has a drag-and-drop editor, making it easy to customise the website.

Weebly

Weebly is another free blogging platform that is easy to use for beginners. Its free version offers a variety of themes, customisable options, and plugins. It also has a drag-and-drop editor that makes creating and customising a website easy. Weebly’s free version has limited features, but it is great for those who want to create a simple website quickly and easily.

Medium

Medium is a free blogging platform that is different from the other platforms mentioned. It is focused more on writing and sharing stories and is not for those looking to build a traditional website. It does not offer the same customisation options as WordPress, Blogger, Wix, or Weebly. However, it is a great platform for those who want to write without the complexity of web design.
