As I count down to the Scandal season finale, I’m thinking and worrying about Scandal withdrawal. I remembered how it felt when Scandal went off air for two weeks and I wonder what I’m going to do with myself for the summer. I’m not gonna lie, I haven’t watched the finale yet but I am relieved that it’s taking a break.
Saying no to Scandal withdrawal
By now you must know I love Scandal but some relationships are best served if you can have some time apart. This season of Scandal has been intense and my emotions have been all over the place. If this had been a relationship with a human, I probably would have walked away from all the drama. I don’t do real life drama but I am happy to eat popcorn and watch other people go through the emotional wringer. Scandal is my fix but unlike real addicts, I know when I’m overdosing.
I imagine, I will be a wreck at the end of the season finale, White Hat’s Back On and it will probably take me four months to get over it. So, yes I’m looking forward to the downtime and refuse to suffer from withdrawal. I will miss it but I’m not going to pine like some love sick puppy. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and I’m looking forward to growing fonder with season three.
