Supernatural spin-off, Supernatural: Tribes characters revealed

4 February, 2014 by PashaO

The  highly-anticipated Supernatural spin- off is definitely a go and it has a name: Supernatural Tribes. Yep! What the heck’s that about? Tribes? Could they be more boring or less imaginative?

If that title hasn’t put you off read on.

Unlike Sam and Dean, there will be no roaming the country for the characters in this show.  The spin-off will be based in one city, Chicago. According to the lowdown on TV Line, the show will be about an epic battle involving five rival monster families and a vengeance-seeking hunter.

Supernatural: Tribes backdoor pilot will be aired during the 20th episode of Supernatural.  We will get to meet Ennis Roth, son of a cop who was on his way to becoming a cop himself when someone close to him was murdered presumably by a monster. Ennis meets up with Sam and Dean and learns that Chicago is run by five families of monsters.

Right now we only know of two of the five monster families. Margo and David Hayden are shape shifter siblings. Margo is billed as an ex-punk rocker gone corporate.  David was living as a human until tragedy brings him back to his old life.

Violet and Julian Durant are werewolf brother and sister.  Violet is hot for family rival David Durant whilst her brother Julian is Ennis Roth’s arch nemesis.

Lastly there’s world weary cop Freddy Costa who is in his 30s. Can you be world weary at 30? The rest of the characters are twenty-something’s, which may appeal to a certain demographic.

I’m not sure if this new series is for me but I’ll definitely be checking out Supernatural to see what these newbies are about before writing them off.

Are you a Supernatural fan? What d would you like to see in the spin-off?
