Fans of Netflix’s hit show Stranger Things can now step into the world of supernatural mystery when Stranger Things: The Experience comes to London.
The experience launches in August, letting guests delve into Hawkins’s darker side, including the Upside Down and Hawkins Lab. You can grab a sundae from Scoops Ahoy, play some games at the Palace Arcade, sip cocktails at a Stranger Things themed bar, stop in at Family Video, buy some exclusive merchandise and even get close to a Demogorgon.
Once you step inside, you will be drawn into your very own interactive adventure. Visit Hawkins lab and volunteer as a test subject – who knows, you might unlock your own special powers and get to put them to good use helping the gang fight the Demogorgon and save the day. They may be young, but these courageous characters have a lot of Stranger Things wisdom, so make sure to use that to your advantage when exploring the ominous halls of this secret-laden laboratory. Plus, to fully immerse you into the show’s universe, there will be a variety of spectacular special effects.
The event was developed with the show’s creators and is being co-produced by Netflix and experiential events company Fever as a “groundbreaking, live multimedia experience.”
“We know our ‘Stranger Things’ fans will embrace the chance to be the heroes of the story, working alongside Eleven, Mike and the rest of the gang to fight the evil threatening to consume Hawkins,” said Greg Lombardo, head of experiences at Netflix. “Fans love losing themselves in the world when they watch the show. Now, for the first time, they will be able to live out an episode from the series in real life.”
